Mr. Umeh’s distinguished career in regulatory and development banking spans over 34 years, with significant roles at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the Bank of Industry (BOI). At CBN, he managed the bank’s external reserves and played a key role in developing Nigeria’s payment systems, earning the “Grand Commandant of Banking and Payment Systems” award for his contributions. At BOI, he provided strategic direction for key departments including HR, finance, and ICT. Mr. Umeh holds a B.Sc. in Agricultural Economics from the University of Ibadan and an MPA from the University of Abuja, with advanced management training from institutions such as Harvard University and INSEAD.
