Ettu Mohammed is a graduate of B.Sc Electrical/Electronic Engineering from the University of Lagos with over 21 years of cognate experience. He is an accomplished electrical/electronic engineer with a background in planning and execution of commercial/industrial installations, operations and maintenance of injection substations, distribution substations and high voltage distribution panels. He is a one-stop power engineer with vast experience in renewable energy technology and deployment.
He has an in-depth knowledge on installation of 330, 132, 33/11 kV injection substations, 33/0.415kV and 11/0.415kV distribution substations with associated 33kV, 11kV and 0.415kV. Ettu has been lead Power Engineer to several projects for the following companies amongst others: Airtel Nigeria, Stanbic IBTC, TOFA/Matelec, ARM, Honeywell, MTN Nigeria, HIS Nigeria and many others. He has also provided expert services to Cummins Nigeria, Genesis Electricity Nigeria, Haliburton and KPMG. He is a consultant to several other organisations.
He commenced his career with the former National Electric Power Authority as a contract staff in the PC & M unit in 2006 and is verse in the power sector in Nigeria. His foray into renewable energy with special focus on solar power started over 5 years ago when he identified the gap in the generation, transmission and distribution systems and the need to augment the energy deficit in the country with renewables. Today, he is one of the string advocates and face of solar energy in Nigeria.
