Mr Efe Obiuwevbi, a beneficiary of solar power initiative of Consistent Energy Limited lauds the use of solar system at a workshop in Abuja organised by Climate Transformation and Energy Remediation Society (CLIMATTERS) with the support of the German Green Foundation – Heinrich Boell Stiftung (HBS) on thursday, September 13, 2018.
The workshop borders on the “THE VIABILITY AND AFFORDABILITY OF CLEAN ENERGY SOLUTIONS FOR MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES (MSMES) IN NIGERIA’.
Efe said that venturing into the use of solar power had solved the problem of power outages in his business. He added that the change to clean energy has reduced his expenditures on fuel, servicing of generator and increased his income.
“Since I started using this solar power, my income has increased, now I have peace of mind and constant customers” – Efe said
“Before now I make N25,000 in a month and after removing the expenses on fuel and maintenance, I may be left with N13,000 but now with the adoption of solar power, I make over N45,000 month”, he added.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the workshop, the Chief Executive Officer of Climate Transformation and Energy Remediation Society, (CLIMATTERS), Mr Smart Amaefula, said that adopting renewable energy solutions in Nigeria will be a win-win solution for the MSMEs and Nigeria’s enviro-economic sustainability.
Considering critical contributions played by Segun Adaju, the CEO of Consistent Energy Limited and the President of Renewal Energy Association of Nigeria and Consistent Energy Limited Team in driving renewable energy to barbers, major MSMEs and local markets used by common Nigerians. Segun presented and offered the participants his experiences on ‘Opportunities and Successes of the Renewable Energy in Boosting The Barbers’ Businesses in Nigeria’.
